About Trisha
Trisha Gold aka Tranishia Gholston born and raised in the church has been immersed in music since the tender age of three. The daughter of a Methodist minister and church pianist Trisha's vocal ability was recognized early on as she sang with a host of choirs and various organizations in her youth.
Trisha traveled to Japan with the Oakland Youth Chorus, and starred as Dorothy in “The Wiz” in High School. She later became introduced to Jazz, where she was a featured vocalist with the College of Alameda Jazz Band.
In 2003, Trisha made her theatrical debut at the Black Repertory Theatre with “Mz. Jazzy Josie B.” the story of legendary performer Josephine Baker. She was cast to play Josephine. This gave her the opportunity to sing, dance, act and work with internationally known artists like Alto Saxophonist Herb Geller of Germany. She was also featured in the Gospel Play Musical “Trials and Tribulations: Silhouettes of a Woman’s Story”.
She recorded for Michael “Narada” Waldon’s “Tarpan Studios” on projects for Larry Graham and Tina Turner.
Trisha was fashion consultant for Gospel artist Loni Williams' debut CD “The Reason Why: Songs of Gospel Inspiration".
In 2004, she started working with noted Bay Area Jazz Guitarist Lloyd Gregory. The two formed a Guitar – Vocal Duo and began performing around the Bay Area and released a CD “Just In Time”.
In 2004, she sang background vocals for Clayboard Records artist Pat James' recording “Step Into God's Purpose”, and subsequently became a studio session singer for Clayboard Records Group and proceeded to record numerous projects.
“Out of Nowhere”, her debut single for Clayboard Records features her cascading vocals and demonstrates her highly developed vocal agility. The smooth mellow ballad conjures up feelings of love and endearment that Trisha so eloquently delivers.
In 2007, Trisha began working with the Dalt Williams Quartet. In 2008, she was featured on the Dalt Williams Quintet CD “Just Cruisin”.
In 2008, she started working with “Jerry & The Champions” and has recorded and filmed several videos with the group, which have become highly popular on Youtube.
In 2011, Trisha began working with Masterpiece, a Corporate Band that performs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 2011, Trisha started working internationally. She released her CD "Trisha Gold Royalty."
In 2012, Trisha sang at the Conrad Bangkok in Thailand. Upon her return, she performed at Yoshi's Oakland with "The Jazz Professor," Bill Bell.
In 2012, Trisha started working with Am Radio, Frontline, California All-starZ, All Star Groove and KJ ALL STARS Corporate Bands that perform throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been a special guest vocalist with Pure Ecstasy Band, The Al Marshall Trio, The Black Market Jazz Orchestra and Ricardo Scales.
In 2014, Trisha sang at the Conrad Bangkok in Thailand. She released her CD "Trisha Gold Live From Thailand & More! Vol I.
In 2016, Trisha joined the Glide Ensemble at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco.
Music is her lifeline, her stunning looks and amazing talent mesmerize audiences where ever she performs.
